- The master bedroom is flanked by two full baths, each with skylights, one has a tub complete with a lovely stained glass window, and the other a shower. There's plenty of closet space and drawers. The view from the bed, especially in the early morning hours can be spectacular. The 2nd bedroom is set up for the children, but adults will be comfortable too; it is located on the main level. It has a trundle bed, and if you request we can have this room ready for you with two single beds out. The lower level is a small and intimate suite with a full bath, a separate bedroom (queen bed), and a small sitting room with TV and futon. The library/office can also serve as a 4th bedroom with closet and another futon.

Your vacation home:: We want you to feel that this is truly your mountain vacation home, here in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Most of our guests do feel exactly that. If you are looking for something different, with charm, class, comfort, privacy, and with a real feel of our mountains, you need to stay Highwoods! We pride ourselves in making Highwoods a place that we would be thrilled to stay at ourselves! And every chance we have, we do exactly that! We are confident that you will love it too!
What you can expect:: Highwoods land protects the watershed for the extensive valleys below. You'll be surrounded by thousands of acres of magnificent wilderness, open fields, and farmland. You'll be living among people who smile and raise their hand to say 'hello' as they pass you. And people who are always there are willing to lend a hand or tell a good story. If you like to hike, bike, or take late afternoon strolls, the quiet roads and off-road trails will give you endless miles of choices. The main house is located at the top of our road, and features the view that people come to the mountains for! Those beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain views are enjoyed from almost every room in the house -- even from the master bedroom's luxurious king-size bed, and from the kitchen sink! Beds are made with fine linens when you arrive.
By request:: We will be happy to do a little shopping for you, in the event you are arriving late. We can also arrange a private dinner at Highwoods prepared by your choice of a number of fantastic chefs or schedule a massage on the deck while you breathe in the majestic view or by the warmth of the fireplace.
