Try your hand at the thrills on the Longest Tubing Run in Northern Michigan or relax by the gas fireplace in your own private getaway. Golfers will enjoy the seven championship courses including the Schuss Mountain Course (just out your back door), the new Cedar River course designed by Tom Weiskopf, the award winning Legend designed by Arnold Palmer or the near by Hawks Eye designed by John Robinson. Courses are open from Mid April through late October. The resort and surrounding area also include beautiful Torch Lake and a private beach club on Lake Bellaire. Boat, pontoon and jet-ski rentals are available at the local marinas. The Shanty Creek Resort is very family oriented with daycare and kids programs available year round.
