Alpine Meadows Chalet Details
In the summer there are tables with chairs for dining and lounge chairs for sunning and relaxing. Alpine Meadows is a family-oriented ski area with runs for all abilities from beginners to expert. There are 12 chair lifts including two hi-speed four and six-person chairs. Interchangeable lift tickets are available for the Big Six ski areas: Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Heavenly Valley, Kirkwood, and Sierra at Tahoe. Summer activities include swimming and tennis at the community facility, horseback riding, and bicycling on bike paths to Squaw Valley or along the river to Tahoe City and along the lake to Sunnyside. Sunnyside is a great place to dine on the deck and view all the lake activity. River Ranch Hotel is at the entrance to Alpine Meadows; there you can watch the river rafters, and dine on the deck or have a nice evening dinner. There are a number of great golf courses in the area including Squaw Valley, Northstar, Tahoe Donner, Incline, and Ponderosa.
Nearby casinos are at North Shore and South Shore.
