There is fishing all along the coast if you like, or snorkel at the Nature Conservancy tide pools. The neighborhood is a great place to walk or jog if you like your morning exercise. Or visit the hot ponds, go hiking, or go to Pahoa which is only 6 miles away to visit shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Travel to Hilo only about 30 minutes away for museums, botanical gardens, waterfalls, equestrian center, zoo, more shopping and lots more restaurants. Black sand beaches, surfing and swimming are available in Hilo or travel to the Kona Coast and enjoy the white sand beaches. Rain forests, flowers, birds, nature is in abundance around here. And there is always just sitting and relaxing and watching the ocean from anywhere in the house.
