A mere 8 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate Entrance, this rustic cabin beckons the weary traveler. Dee & Tom Howald are delighted to share their magnificently hand-crafted log cabin. Weathered by the elements of time, this country hide-a-way has been hidden from view for two generations but is now available for year-round rental, by the 2 night minimum, week, or month-whichever you prefer.

Notes: In emergency a cell phone is available. WiFi (Wireless Internet): available at library or local bakery- 2 minutes away. Dungoughin shares owners pool with certain time restrictions. Pet deposit-non refundable $100.00. No cats. Kid Friendly: well behaved children over age of 10. No smoking inside at any time. Must clean up all cigarette butts when smoking. Interior of both cabins is furnished with early American primitive antiques. Mattresses are all brand new. Views, privacy, security, immaculately kept; 2 minutes from super 24 hour grocery, fine restaurants, galleries, antique shopping, 8 minutes from Asheville center and Biltmore Estate entrance.

Eager visitors will be surprised to find antique furnishings accentuated by the Howald's special country touches. Trompe l'oeil paintings, hand-hooked rugs, quilts and comfy beds abound. Picturesque views, coupled with refreshing mountain breezes make Dungoughin an ideal alternative to hotel living. The Howalds have lovingly restored their four bedroom cabin, Dungoughin, into a retreat of unparalleled delights. The Asheville area is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, crafts people, and those who enjoy fine food and dining, live theater, music, sprinkled with vital southern hospitality.
