Get away from it all! : Ocean Haiku is located in the small town of Jenner, California with views of the Pacific Ocean and the Russian River. It is easy to sit out on the deck and become completely absorbed in the views and the beauty of the area. A meal served on on the deck at sunset or a soak in the spa on the second floor deck under the stars just before bedtime are favorite activities. A hike around town is a walk through country surroundings, nature all around,cows mooing in the nearby fields. hummingbirds zipping by or a hawk flying overhead. The area is peaceful and quiet and very scenic.

Amenities:: The beds are top of the line Simmons mattresses and quality soft linens are provided. there are towels for the shower and bath as well as oversize towels for the spa. a wood burning stove for a fire and if you need inside entertainment Direct TV with DVD upstairs and down Ipod stereo upstairs-Cd player downstairs. New gas grill and small seating area on side deck; the upper deck with hot tub is great for sun bathing and feeling as if you are away from it all!

Things to do nearby:: Great restaurants are a short drive away such as seafood, slow food, locally grown food. Sonoma County has numerous vineyards with wine tasting available-many are just a short drive away-De Loach, Korbel, Kenwood, Valley of the Moon, to mention just a few. Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley are less than an hour's drive away. Shopping is available in Bodega Bay, Duncans Mills, Healdsburg, Sebastopol, Guerneville or if you need Costco or Trader Joe's, Santa Rosa is less than an hour away. For those that like massage, we recommend either Osmosis in Freestone or Patte's Massage in Guerneville. Up and down the coastal Highway 1 are dozens of accessible beaches that are usually uninhabited during the week. If hiking is one of your passions, Armstrong Woods and Austin Creek have miles of trails; the Kortum Trail runs from Bodega Bay along the ocean all the way to Goat Rock approximately 10 miles on the bluffs. Our next door neighbor owns Lotus Kayak and rents kayaks half or full day.

Golf: Northwood Golf Course, nine holes in a beautiful redwood setting is within 15 minutes drive from the house up Scenic Highway 116 toward Guerneville. There is an eighteen hole course in Bodega Bay, about 10 miles south along Highway 1.
