Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Arezzo, Gubbio, and Urbino (to name just a few!) are all within reach as day trips. The setting is idyllic and well removed from the bustle of modern life. Restaurants in the area are superb and economically priced. Upper Floor: There is access from the parking area and front patio into an entrance hall/seating area with a baby grand piano, serving as a seating area for one double bedroom. The hallway and stairway has a four-meter-high beamed ceiling and leads to the lower floor. There is one double bedroom with a balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a corner whirlpool bath. The third double bedroom on the upper floor has a queen-size four-poster bed of hand-made wrought iron, a wood-burning stove, huge windows, and a door onto the front patio. The fourth bedroom has a pair of twin beds (which can be joined to make a larger bed), and stunning views up and down the river valley. There is a bathroom with a skylight and spacious tiled shower stall.

The ground floor features an open-plan sitting/dining/kitchen area where tall arched double glass doors look out on a view of the lake, and lead to the tiled terrace with an outdoor dining table. The well-equipped u-shaped kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and granite work surfaces. A smaller interior arch leads to a hallway through which there is a double bedroom (queen-size bed) with private door to the terrace. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and washing machine. This bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway. The 6 x 12 meter (20 x 40 foot) swimming pool is set in a generous stone paved terrace. Wide roman stairs enter the shallow end and pool furniture includes wooden loungers with cushions, and umbrellas. An array of solar panels heats the pool so that it is always an excellent swimming temperature.

As a result, the swimming season extends from April through October, longer than elsewhere in the region. Casa Singerna is equipped with a telephone, television, satellite TV service, a DVD player, stereo. fax, Internet and e-mail access. Additional accommodations can be arranged in the nearby farmhouse for larger parties.
