Helen, GA: Helen is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia on the Chattahoochee River, just 75 minutes from Atlanta, and is a rare recreation of an alpine village complete with cobblestone alleys and old-world towers. Helen sponsors year-round events including a Trout Tournament, canoeing and rafting, Hot Air Balloon Festival, fireworks, Oktoberfest (Sept. Oct., Nov.), a Christmas lighting spectacle, and both a winter and spring Volksmarch.
Innsbruck Golf Resort: Innsbruck Resort is a gated community and is Alpine Helen’s only full facility resort with an 18-Hole Championship golf course, swimming, tennis and clubhouse. The golf course was rated among the Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play 2006/2007. #15 is a hole you will never forget. A 160 yard par 3, but standing on the tee you are 150 feet ABOVE the hole! The #1 rule in this home is to bring your bags only - 'Unser Haus' is fully equipped for your enjoyment. The 2 full kitchens are so well stocked you will not need a thing, from spices to your first cup of coffee 'Unser Haus' provides all of your needs.
