This breezy beach villa is on Tankah Bay, south of Akumal and just north of Tulum. The villa offers a uniquely private setting, but is still within walking distance of an excellent restaurant, an inland lagoon, a cenote, a dive shop, and a small beachside hotel. A short drive to Akumal and Tulum provides all the necessities and amenities.
This is a family-owned vacation villa, offered to those who respect this magnificent bay and its fragile coral ecology. The night sky and coral reef are unforgettable.

Villa Zama is located on 'Tankah Tres Bay' just 5 km north of the village of Tulum and 15 km south of Akumal. The bay has mostly private villas, one small hotel/restaurant, and a beachside restaurant. There is a larger two story hotel on the south end but Villa Zama is on the north end and very private. You can snorkel and sea kayak on the bay and the beach is a soft white sand for sunbathing. The area offers great restaurants around Tulum and Akumal, snorkeling in fresh water lagoons (cenotes), historic Mayan ruins, eco-parks and a rich local culture. You are within easy driving of Playa Del Carmen for a more active outing and shopping.

We have decided not to provide laundry service because of the need to conserve water deliveries and the convenient and inexpensive availability of laundry services in nearby Tulum. Tulum is a small village only 10 minutes away. We can give you directions to a very friendly, reliable and inexpensive laundry service. Drop it off and pick it up. Very convenient.
