How to Travel to Las Terrenas: The easiest and cheapest way to reach Las Terrenas is to fly into Santo Domingo-Los Americas Airport (SDQ) , hire a rental car from Thrifty or Avis (we rent from Thrifty for approx. $180/week) and then drive 2.5 hrs up the brand new highway which starts just outside the airport-- There are also 30 minute flights from SDQ to El Portillo airport near Las Terrenas for apprx. $59 each way. I will send you detailed information on how to travel from SDQ, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata or Santiago when you make a reservation.
