In the Fall it is a beautiful place to do some biking with very little traffic. The house sits alone on 15 acres; so you can enjoy all the peace and solitude you may be looking for in a vacation. This 'one of a kind home' has views that will take your breath away the moment you open the front door. It overlooks all of Steamboat; including the ski hill. You can see the New Year’s Eve fireworks while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. If the children want to sled and make snow angels; go right out the door plus make that snowman while the adults warm up with a toddy. Totally private with no traffic!!

The minute you drive past Catamount Lake on your way to the house; your stress disappears and the beauty begins. As you enter this western lodge and see views from every angle you will have wonderful memories of the Steamboat Valley and your vacation in this 'little slice of heaven'. This home was designed to bring the “outdoors inside.” A 4- wheel drive vehicle is recommended. We provide a heated garage which is lovely in the winter. We will also provide snow removal. We book this for 8 to 10 people.

  • The spacious master suite is on the main floor with a King bed; plus a luxurious bathroom with an infra red sauna and jetted tub plus steam shower. On the lower level there are two bedrooms plus two full bathrooms…..one with a queen bed and 2 singles and another room with a Queen. The carpeted lower level exercise room is very large with a Pilates reformer machine and a treadmill plus a fold out sofa bed that sleeps 2.

Notes: This is ideal for several families who would like to spend the holidays together. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms plus 2 extra 1/2 baths. It also works well for 3 couples who may want an adult getaway.. You can arrange for a masseuse to come after you have used the sauna ! There are hot springs in town plus many yoga/ Pilates classes. We can send you information for a personal chef if you book early. While the adults are upstairs enjoying themselves; the children can enjoy the large screen TV; plus lots of room to play. They can also be on the lookout for our favorite female fox that comes over for a visit daily. Perhaps next year she will bring her little ones along. Sauna: We have an infra red sauna that can seat 2. On a cold chilly day of skiing this is the BEST!!!

Steamboat Springs House Details

Ski: As you may know Steamboat Springs is noted for it's fantastic champagne powder !!!! Compared to other ski areas; it is not overly crowded. Last year we had 540 inches of snow and the skiers were in heaven. The mountain is in the process of upgrading; and I understand there are several new chair lifts for your pleasure. For the children there is ice skating and 'tubing' which our kids loved!!
