Our house is conveniently located close to many desirable locations! Ft. Myers is right over the bridge, the Red Sox spring training field (City of Palms Park) & the Minnasota Twin spring training facility are 12-15 minutes away. Sanibel Island, Captiva, Estero, Ft. Myers Beach, as well as Matlacha & Pine Island are all within 30 minutes drive or less! Less than 3/4 mile to major shopping centers, movie theatres, bowling, lots of restaurants & shops. The home is in exclusive Gold Coast Estates, which is an owner-occupied single family quiet neighborhood, great for walks. The house is built on a canal with direct access to the Caloosahatche River leading to the Gulf of Mexico. Sanibel Island, Captiva, Pine Island & other destinations as well as waterfront dining are less than a 30 minute scenic boat ride away. You will most likely encounter dolphins or manatees along the way. Our boat is available for captained relaxing boat rides to any of these destinations for a fee.

  • This is the first year that we are making our vacation house available for rent!
  • We accept payment by check, credit card, or PayPal. Tax and cleaning fee is in addition to rent. An amount equal to 30% of the rental is required to reserve your stay. The remainder plus a refundable security deposit of $400 per week for weekly rentals or $800 for monthly rentals is due no later than 45 days before your stay.

    The boat use is not included in rental fee. Our boat is available for captained rides/tours or fishing excursions for a fee of $65/hour with a 3 hour minimum. We will also rent out the boat for private use with no captain to qualified renters at a rate of $950/week plus fuel cost as well as a $1000 security deposit. This is determined on a case by case basis. There are also boat rental companies in the area that will deliver a boat to our house for your use during your stay.
  • This is the first time that we have marketed our vacation house for vacation rentals, hence the many openings on the calendar. We had previously only made it available to family an friends. Our 3 girls are getting older and it is more difficult to spend extended stays because of their varying schedules/activities. We have a property manager in the immediate neighborhood that will make sure that your stay is pleasant and trouble free and will attend to any of your questions or concerns. He is also a full-time resident and is a great resource for activity suggestions.

  • Bathroom 1 is accessable from the hallway and also accessible from the pool area. This is ideal to keep the kids from tracking water all through the house! Bathroom 2 is actually a half bath located off of bedroom 2. Bathroom 3 is actually the master bath and is a toilet, sink, with a very large tiled shower.

  • Bedroom 1 has king-size bed with a large window facing the canal, with a large closet, desk, dresser, TV and a large mirror. Bedroom 2 has a queen with a large closet, dresser, TV, and a 1/2 bath. The largest bedroom, would normally be used as a master bedroom, however, we have it set-up with 2 full-size beds, 2 dressers, a large walk-in closet, TV and a full bath. When we go down, our daughters always bring friends and 4 people sleep in this room comfortably. It also has a slider that leads right to the pool. In addition to these 3 bedrooms, the family room has a futon that opens to sleep 2 additional people. The great thing about the house layout is that bedroom #3 is separated by the rest of the living area by the dining area as well as the living room. This gives lots of privacy to whoever decides to sleep in this bedroom, whether it is adults or children. So this layout is great even for 2 couples or 2 small families.

Cape Coral House Details

Gold Coast Estates:: Our home is located in a very nice single family neighborhood with canal front & river front homes. It is an affluent neighborhood & is very quiet and mostly owner occupied. It is a very safe & attractive area that is great for morning or evening walks. Gold Coast Estates lines the eastern bank of the Caloosahatchee and basically spans the midpoint bridge to the Cape Coral bridge. Cape Coral is a large city, and different areas of Cape Coral have very different flavors and settings. This is one of the best, if not the best area of Cape Coral & southwest Florida. Our neighbors are a mix of families and retirees. We have absolutely never seen any crime or had concerns of crime in all the years that we have been there. This is the first year that we are marketing our house for vacation rentals, hence the many openings on the calendar. Previously, we made it availlable only to friends & family. Our kids are getting older & it is more difficult for us to spend extended time here.

Things To Do:: Of course, at the house you can swim, fish off the dock, hang out by the pool, lay in the hammock between 2 palm trees, sunbath on the dock, go for a walk, go for a boat ride, or just read a good book by the canal. In the immediate vicinity of the house, you can go to the Ecological Preserve that is 3 minutes away, rent kayaks and explore, enjoy fine dining, shopping, go to a movie Cinema complex, go to the Cape Coral Water Park (when open), go to the Cape Coral beach in the yacht club area, visit the spring training facilities of the Red Sox or the Minnesota Twins, go golfing, and more. Within a 30 minute drive, you can go ParaSailing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, shelling, go to some great beaches (Sanibel, Captiva, Ft. Myers Beach, Estero Beach), visit the art community of Matlacha and Pine Island. If you are so inclined to travel a little farther away, Naples, Marco Island, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Everglade City, are all between 1 and 2-1/2 hours away!

Weather, Water, and Sunshine:: Sunny warm weather, beautiful lush palm trees, sandy beaches, warm oceans, rest and relaxation. Need we say more! Our boat in on the lift and ready to take you on scenic rides for a fee. Depending on the skill and experience level of the renter we may consider allowing use of the boat, self-captained for a fee. This will be determined on a case by case basis. For most rentals, we will supply a captain to take you and your family for relaxing rides.
