Troncones House Details
The 1,000 square-foot private rooftop deck commands a 360-degree view of morning sunrises over the foothills of the Sierra Madres to the east, sunny days at sandy Playa Manzanillo to the south, evening Pacific Ocean sunsets to the west, and the night time lights of Lazaro Cardenas to the north. 800 square feet of tile roof provides plenty of shade here as well. Our Troncones-based property manager can advise you about ground transportation arrangements, shopping and local current events and can answer most of your questions about the area. A 40-minute taxi ride from Zihuatanejo takes you to your Tropical Dreams. Beachfront restaurants in the village of Majahua or at Playa Manzanillo are a few minutes' walk away. More restaurants are a few minutes' drive away or take a ride on the inexpensive 'combi' bus. If you like your own cooking, the kitchen is equipped with a gas range for your convenience. Relaxation is key in Troncones, but there are many recreational opportunities.
Nearby Ixtapa features two famous 18-hole golf courses. Zihuatanejo is an internationally-known sport fishing destination. These locations offer many opportunities for shopping in both designer-name fashion stores and artisan markets. There's no need to go to the larger centres though. Tropical Dreams is located in an area noted for swimming and fishing. Playa Manzanillo is a snorkeling area, complete with coral reef and shellfish beds. Leisurely beach walks often include finds of decorative coral and souvenir shells. Numerous tidal pools provide natural whirlpool baths and soaking areas. For the more energetic, horseback riding, mountain-biking, cave tours, and other activities can be arranged in Troncones. Punta Troncones and Playa Saladita provide a range of surf, both to please beginners and to challenge experts. Come see why, in September 1998, International Living Magazine identified this area as among the best places in the world in which to retire.
