Gulf Shores Condo Summary

From our private, covered, 5th floor balcony, you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Gulf, watch the numerous shore birds, search for dolphins, or just listen to the waves lapping upon the shore. Tropical Winds 504 is a corner unit so it has large rooms with extra windows. The kitchen is fully equipped if you like to eat in, and there is a washer/dryer in the unit for your convenience. Bed and bath linens are provided. Enjoy cable TV in all bedrooms, and 'free' Wireless Internet is available. Tropical Winds Condo is a smaller complex located on West Beach and is just one mile from the heart of Gulf Shores where you will find numerous restaurants and shops. The beachside pool has a large sundeck with lounge chairs and a covered picnic area with grills, a fitness center, and ground floor rest rooms. If your vacation goal is just to relax and wiggle your toes in the fine, sugar white sand, you'll need to bring beach chairs or you can rent chairs/umbrellas right on the beach.

There are many attractions and activities in the Alabama Gulf Coast Area. The Tanger Outlet Center is only 20 minutes from our condo or you can visit Gulf Shores newest shopping destination, the Pinnacle Center, only 10 minutes away. There are numerous golf courses, fishing charters, and antique shops close by. You might want to visit the Naval Museum of Aviation (home of the Blue Angels & I-Max Theater) or the Greyhound dog track in Pensacola - 1 hour away. It is 2 hours to the casinos in Biloxi, and 1 hour to Mobile where you can tour Battleship Park, and Bellingrath Gardens is just south of Mobile. It's about 30 min to Ft. Morgan where you can take the ferry across Mobile Bay to visit the Dauphin Island Estuarium Sea Lab and the Bird Sanctuary. The Wharf, on the intercoastal, has a new amphitheater featuring various popular performers. Throughout the year there are many Festivals, Fishing Tournaments, and Boat Races. Gulf Shores Condo Details

Great for Family Vacations ! : What first attracted us to the Gulf Shores area 18 years ago, was the fact that it is very family oriented. Besides swimming, surfing, skim boarding, playing ball and frisbee, collecting shells, and building sand castles on the beach, there are many other activities in the area to be enjoyed by children. Places to visit and things to do include the zoo, water and amusement parks, go-kart tracks, numerous putt-putt golf courses, dolphin cruises, and parasailing. There are also forts to visit, bike trails to ride, and bird sanctuaries, wildlife refuges, and estuaries to explore. Of course there is always fishing and finding those little sand crabs after dark. Our grandchildren like going to the large shaded Gulf Shores playground located near the ball fields and rec center. We hope that you will enjoy 'Pleasure Island' as much as we do.
