Nahant House Summary
Enjoy summer breezes in colonial with new kitchen in neighborhood short walk to Short Beach in Nahant, close to Flash Road playground. Off-street parking for three cars. Basketball hoop in driveway, air hockey table in enclosed front porch with picture windows overlooking Lynn Harbor. Open second floor porch also overlooks Lynn Harbor. Deck off kitchen above large fenced yard with view of Short Beach. Walk to Short Beach or Playground/Park, bike to the Wharf, Tudor beach or Forty Steps beach. Washer/dryer in half bath.
Quiet town with nine hole golf course, safe for bicycling, running, swimming. 20 to 30 minutes to Boston. Accessable by public transportation MBTA bus during the week, a short drive to the train station in Lynn and the Blue Line in Revere. Vacation close to home. Its ten (10) degrees cooler when you drive over the causeway to Nahant. Small, charming public library and historical society. Occasional classical and chamber music concerts in Ellingwood Chapel.

Just south of Swampscott, Marblehead and Salem, Nahant is attached to Lynn by a causeway over a one mile long with water on both sides. Long beach is located on the bay side of the causeway, providing delightful early morning walks, runs, bike rides and birding. Lynn is home to the new Downtown Bistro and Gulu Gulu Cafe where a variety of music can be heard on the weekends. Nahant is home to almost 4000 people year round, but was formerly a summer community. Close to Salem and Marblehead for museums and antiquing, plus Boston is just a short drive, too. Lynn hosts deep sea fishing and the casino cruise boat. Salem has a whale watch boat. At the entrance to town is a restaurant, bank and a Dunkin Donuts. At the commercial center there is a hair salon, a massage therapist, a breakfast and sub shop. A new grocery deli has opened down the hill from the house. The Nahant Community Center is home to several holistic practitioners including reiki and massage therapists.
