Little Harbor House Summary

Casa Mar is a spacious 4 bedroom house situated on two oceanfront acres. Five sets of sliding doors open onto an extensive deck that overlooks a large landscaped yard, a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean, its massive reefs and a mile long secluded beach. A Tiki Bar decorated with the treasures from many years of beach combing sits in its own Coconut Grove right on the ocean in front of the house. The main house has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other two have queen beds. There are two smaller kids sized beds that can be moved and used as needed. The fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds. The owners of Casa Mar are musicians and the house includes a set of conga drums, guitar, banjo and an assortment of rhythm instruments. Many Jam Sessions have played on long into the night at Casa Mar. An XM satellite radio is located in the living providing all styles of music for guests at Casa Mar.

For those who love to fish, the waters around Little Harbour are a world class destination for all types of fishing. Some of the best deep sea fishing in the world takes place in the waters in front of Casa Mar. Trolling the reefs or bottom fishing around Little Harbour yield grouper, snapper and many other species of delicious fresh fish for the table at Casa Mar. If fly fishing is your passion, some of the best bone-fishing on the planet takes place on the flats near Little Harbour and Cherokee Sound. Casa Mar makes it easy and affordable for anglers to experience the wonder and natural beauty of Abaco's bone-fishing flats. Local guides can be arranged for all types of fishing for guests at Casa Mar. Swimming, diving, snorkeling, beaching- combing are daily pastimes at Casa Mar.

Golf at the Abaco Club on Winding Bay: A new world championship golf course is located at the Abaco Club on Winding Bay located only 2 miles from Casa Mar. The resort is operated by the Ritz-Carlton hotel company.

Deep Sea, Reef and Fly Fishing: The waters in front of Casa Mar offer some of the best Deep Sea and Reef fishing in the world. The 'Bight of Old Robinson' offers world class fly fishing for record sized bonefish and is teeming with rays, small sharks, barracudas, snappers and all types of small reef fish. Casa Mar is one of the few places where you can walk to begin fly fishing for bonefish without a boat and guide. Guides can be arranged to pick you up and return you to Casa Mar after a day of fishing.

Beach combing: Bookies Beach near Casa Mar is a beautiful, secluded mile long beach fronted by three sets of coral reefs that protect the beach from the Atlantic Ocean and is a great place to sunbathe, fish from the beach or go beach combing. The owner of Casa Mar has found 5 'notes in a bottle' from around the world on this beach. A large portion of the adornments at the Tiki Bar in front of Casa Mar were found on Bookies Beach.
