In an area of unique natural beauty with a view of Santorini's bay and Caldera, only a stone's throw from the island's capital of Fira, accessible by foot along a lovely cliff side path. Decorated with the colour and the scent of the Aegean sea.
Location: The mansion in imerovigli is ideally situated 300m above the sea on the cliffs edge in the peaceful village of Caldera. Guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Aegean sea. The breathtaking view and natural beauty are simply spectacular: bare red and earth meets the deep blue waters. This smooth-edged architecturally restored mansion has a stylish Mediterranean feel and is classified as a traditional Santorini 'yposkafa' dwelling.
About us: The Mansion for more than a century belonged to the Kovaios Family, a well know Greek family from Egypt. In the 30's the family offer the Mansion to accommodate King George. Kosmas Kovaios, one of the mansion's owners, was the co-ordinating leader who rebuild and reconstructed the famous church of 'Ananstasi' in Imerovigli. At this church couples from all over the world come to arrange their weddings, either under the most romantic moon of Caldera, or with the view of the endless blue of the Agean sea. The church is only 60 meters away from the mansion. From November '06 The Mansion is property of the Stathakis family. The original structure has been sensitively renovated fully to a new luxury villas, and has been restored to its original splendour, retaining the original layout and traditional features. With a special care using ecologically friendly materials.
