With the sound of the ocean in the background, the smell of salt in the air, and Kiawah's lush vegetation everywhere, you will immediately feel relaxed upon arriving at Windswept, your light and airy home away from home.
The property is located on the third floor of a four story building fronting Kiawah's 10 mile beach, with ocean views from the balcony and every window. You can even see the ocean without getting off the bed. The beach, Night Heron Park, the renowned Sanctuary Hotel, miles of bike paths, and Kiawah's tennis courts and famed golf courses are all nearby. Plus, historic Charleston is just 35 minutes away.
When you return to Windswept from a day of fun, you will enjoy its modern decor and comforts. Curl up on the micro-suede couch to watch TV or listen to music. Sit in the rocker and stare out at the water. Have a drink on the balcony. Then sleep like a rock in a truly comfortable bed.

Kiawah Island is a barrier island in the South Carolina Low Country, boasting a 10 mile beach just 21 miles from historic Charleston. It is surrounded by water -- ocean, rivers, creeks, tidal marshes -- and has numerous lagoons and ponds on the island itself. This unique setting lends itself to many fun outdoor activities in an environment teeming with wildlife --swimming, fishing, taking nature walks, bird watching, kayaking, beachcombing, biking and more.
This setting is also unique in that this amazing environment is just a short drive from a city infused with cultural charm. Charleston always offers many activities, from the 17 day Spoleto Festival to House Tours to Fort Sumter. It is a great place from history buffs to those who wish to sample the latest in cuisine. And it is simply a beautiful city to just stroll around with no particular destination in mind, perhaps taking in Charleston's 4 block long city market, King Street's renowned shops or White Point Gardens.
