More On Immediate Location: The house overlooks a sheltered bay that is great for beach combing, swimming, sailing, water-skiing, kayaking, and fishing. Groceries, cafe, and other basic amenities are within easy walking distance. A short wooded trail from the property provides easy access to the beach below. There are beautiful walks and hikes right from the front door; there is very little automobile traffic in the entire area. The nearby Indianola Country store is the central meeting place for all the town. It has all the basics, plus espresso, deli take-out, a small cafe area, and DVD/video rentals. The New York Times or local papers can be reserved at the store. Indianola also has a post office and a community center that hosts theater and other events throughout the year. An new 18-hole golf course is located just a few minutes away.
Nearby Attractions: Indianola is less than 15 minutes to the ferry and within 20 minutes of larger population centers with a range of attractions, shopping, and other amenities. Kingston (less than 15 minutes away) has full service grocery stores, banks, restaurants and other services. Historic Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island are less than 30 minutes away and are major shopping, recreation and tourist destinations. We are also a convenient location for exploration of the Olympic Peninsula and day-trips to Seattle.
