Recent guest comments: This was one of the cleanest, well-stocked homes we've stayed in. Beautiful house, well decorated and furnished. It's obvious that the owners take pride in keeping this property in shape. Watch the brilliant sunset skies or the hundreds of stars at night from the hot tub on the upper deck. Catch the beach breezes on the lower deck swing. Enjoy family dinners in the furnished screened porch. September is gorgeous here!

Notes: This lovely, family oriented home offers 4 wood adirondack chairs, a two person swing and 2 rockers on decks with a wood picnic table and benches in the upper deck screened porch. It is located within walking distance to the ocean where there is plenty of public parking if you prefer to drive. Desirable Monteray Shores is a soundside community with clubhouse, fitness center, pool and kiddie pool, and plenty of chairs and lounge chairs to enjoy the sun. There are fun activities for the kids -- be sure to ask for a schedule. There's a playground, tennis courts and bicycles are available for rent. Grocery and boutique shopping is within a mile and there are tons of fine restaurants and family eateries within minutes. You can keep happily busy or relax and do nothing -- it's your choice!

We love it here!: . . . and know you will too. The Outer Banks is the perfect romantic get-away or family vacation. There are superb restaurants and luxurious spas nearby. There are activities for all children from babies to teens. Our rental agency tells us that Monteray Shores has more crafts for kids than any other community. Don't miss the Wright Museum or the Elizabethan Gardens. The Lost Colony live play is worth the drive. We've been coming here since 1980 and our children are now bringing their kids. We've tried to outfit our home with everything you might need to have a comfortable, pleasant stay so, WELCOME TO SAND DOLLARS!
