Bayfield Cabin Details
Natural beauty: Experience the beauty of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and all it has to offer. Explore the miles of sand on Meyer's Beach or 'Corny' beach, located within 2-3 miles of the cabin. Look for Lake Superior agates or sea glass. Kayak or canoe to the sea caves; charter a sailboat to tour the islands or take a fishing excursion. Hiking trails are plentiful, as are snowmobile, cross-country skiing, and ATV trails. The nearby Chequamegon National Forest hosts many native wildlife species such as wolves, bear, great blue heron, and bald eagles. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Dining & Shopping: Cornucopia is home to The Village Inn, with its extensive menu of dinner items, seafood specialties, and a variety of wines. On the weekends, enjoy outdoor entertainment at Wader's Tiki Bar. For a more casual atmosphere, try the fare at Fish Lipps lounge and restaurant. Watch your favorite sporting event on the big screen TV or play a game of billiards. In the nearby town of Bayfield, enjoy one of several unique restaurants, many with fantastic views of Lake Superior. After dining, stroll through the variety of shops Bayfield has to offer in it's small town setting. Take a day and visit a local apple orchard or winery for a unique experience.
Our cabin: Our family purchased this cabin in November of 2007 after many years of vacationing in the Apostle Islands area. We've spent the winter and spring renovating and making improvements to both the interior and exterior to make it a second home. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.
