ARE YOU A SPORTS FAN?: OK, we've got 5 flat screen TV's to watch all the sporting events you can imagine, but how about taking in a baseball game at Petco Park, a football game at Qualcomm Stadium. And don't forget the bowl games...both the Pointsettia and the Holiday have been perennial December thrillers. You're minutes away from either, as well as the world-famous Torrey Pines Golf Course. San Diego has gazillions of wonderfully well-groomed public links, all available within less than a thirty minute drive..
OFF SEASON ATTRACTIONS: The winter months in San Diego offer as myriad of opportunities and you won't have to fight the crowds! If you've never been whale watching, put that on your list of things to do before.... Many choices of tours are available, ranging from half day to full day....I've never missed seeing these spectacular creatures any time I've gone out. It's a thrill beyond description! Enjoy Legoland, too, as it's just 30 minutes or so north. Ladies...don't share this with the man in your life, but the Carlsbad Outlet Mall is right near Legoland and offers terrific bargains on designer brands from Coach to Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Michael Kors....tons more.
