Apartment is very bright and airy with a small deck that overlooks the river with spectacular views, very private and quiet.. Shore-front access to launch a kayak or canoe is on the property. You're 5 minutes away from the Harrington town landing. There is great hiking and mountain bike riding on several miles of roads leading down the peninsula to Ripley Neck. Hike 5 miles of marked Nature Conservatory trails on Great Wass Is., beautiful wooded and rocky shoreline trails. Roque Bluffs State Park has a wonderful beach, 2 golf courses close by. Pleasant River Boat Tours, in Addison, offer several types of trips on the Pleasant River. Whale watching tours can be booked nearby. One hour's drive N will take you to Campabello, NB or S. to Acadia National Park / Bar Harbor. Super mrkts, shops and gas stations in town 10 min. away. There are many shops and galleries to visit featuring local artists and craftsmen and woman . Come visit us and see for yourself!

Ocean kayak around many small islands on this coastline. There are several lakes to kayak or canoe on too. July 4th Jonesport has lobster boat races and fireworks and August is blueberry season you can pick your own or watch how we rake berries at many places. Machias hosts a great blueberry festival in Aug. all sorts of fun and crafters at this festival for the whole family. Several art galleries with painting by local artists dot this area. Much more art to be found; hand turned wooden bowls, local jewelry made from dicroic glass, very beautiful, unique pottery at Columbia Falls Pottery and basket weavers. Pleasant River Boat tours offers marshland bird and wildlife tours as well as ocean tours or create your own tour. you'll see how we hall our lobster traps and see local lobster man working. plenty of wonderful hiking trails and mountain bike trails to explore.
