Our Cape/Chalet is 4 miles west of Danby center. Danby is a historical Vermont small town, with many antique shops and several Inns. The Vermont Summer Horse show is 10 miles away, with Manchester an additional 5 minutes beyond for outlet shopping, variety of restaurants or golf at Fleneagles Golf Course. World Class skiing is 35 Minutes away at Killington, Okemo or Stratton. Bromley is 25 minutes. 20 minutes to Lake St. Catherine. Great Hiking trails nearby, with wonderful walking everywhere. In the middle of rural southern Vermont, but close to great restaurants, outlet shopping and even Lake George within 1 hour.
