Pristine Lake Chatuge is just down the road with 3 nearby marinas all within a short drive, so consider renting a motor boat and skis or jet skis, kayak, sailboat or perhaps a pontoon boat for a day out on the lake! Try your hand at fly-fishing or go tubing in the nearby Hiawassee River. It's only a short 30 minute drive to the scenic Alpine village of Helen, with its fine dining, quaint little shops, horse-drawn carriages & white water rafting. Don't miss the Georgia Mountain Fair, just 5 minutes from your door and check out the many concerts at the Anderson Music Hall. There are free concerts on the square every Saturday night (weather permitting) and a bevy of festivals, craft shows and special events throughout the year. Bring your laptop so you can stay in touch with the office and perhaps stay another day or so.
