Cape San Blas, a narrow spit of 8-mile beach, was voted Best Beach in the USA in 2002 by Dr Beach for its sugar-white sand, wide beaches, dunes and clear emerald-green water. Although located in Florida's panhandle, the peninsula runs N-S, providing viewing of magnificent sunsets from the house, deck, screened porch and balcony. Deeded access to the Bay provides an entirely different waterfront experience. Great family time swimming, strolling the beach, collecting shells, hiking at the nearby State Park. Or, relax with provided books, board games, 5 TVs with expanded cable, 4 DVD players & wireless high-speed Internet. There is limited development and no high-rise buildings on the Cape. Provision at a Cape convenience store or enjoy casual dining at one of the Cape restaurants. It's a 20 minute drive into quaint Apalachicola or Port St Joe for restaurants, boutique or antique shopping.
