The list of things to do during your stay is endless. The beautiful white sandy beaches of St. George Island are just minutes away. These are captains close by just waiting to take you either off-shore, in the bay, or river fishing. Or, you can do your own thing fishing on the bridges designated for fishing and viewing on the mainland and also on St. George, lots of surf fishing, river, or the pier within walking distance there in Apalachicola. Some of the other things to do include: Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, Apalach National Forest hiking, Tate's Hell State Forest hiking, Battery Park and the City Marina, Chestnut Street Cemetery, Dixie Theater, Orman House, John Gorrie Museum, Lafayette Park, St. Joseph Bay Preserve, St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge, Camp Gordan Johnston Museum, etc.
Apalachicola is bustling with lots of great seafood restaurants and fresh seafood markets along the waterway. Also, lots of artistic shops line the streets. There is live theater during the year and most always something entertaining during your stay.
