Family Circle Tennis Center The island's 17-court professional tennis facility is a City of Charleston facility and is available to residents year-round, offering a wide variety of instructional and competitive programs. With a center stadium court that seats 10,000 spectators, the facility is home to the internationally televised Family Circle Cup women's tennis tournament, which is held on the island each April. Throughout the year, the stadium is the site of a variety of outdoor concerts (Hootie and the Blowfish, B.B. King, Al Green, and the Doobie Brothers all have performed here) and special events like an AVP Volleyball tournament, annual Jazz Festival, triathlons, the annual Komen Charleston Race for the Cure and more.
