Kilauea's Most Recent Eruption: Kilauea is the only erupting volcano in America and is the home of Pele - the goddess of fire! She throws molten fountains high into the air, governs the great flows of lava and has been known to reveal herself throughout the island of Hawai'i. Kua'aina Maluhia is just twenty minutes to the most recent March 23 2008 eruption site where lava can be seen flowing into the ocean. Plan a short evening trek to view this amazing flow at night when it glows the brightest. Viewing Starts at 2 pm and goes until 10 pm.
