Turquoise waters caress the white powdery sand of this incredibly beautiful area known as Lanikai Beach, a residential community of Kailua, located on the windward side of Oahu. Tucked away in secluded privacy, and located just one block from Lanikai Beach, this four bedroom, two bath home is perfect for families traveling with children and grandparents or couples traveling together. This property is unique as the house can be divided into a one bedroom, one bath apartment and a three bedroom, one bath house. The house has a covered deck off the livingroom, a complete kitchen with dishwasher, full stove, and large refrigerator. The apartment has a kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave, and hot plate. The apartment also has it's own livingroom area and deck off the bedroom. The home is located down a lane, off any main streets, so there is no street noise. The yard has lush Hawaiian foliage that attracts a multitude of native birds.

Lanikai Beach is a small residential area of Kailua. Kailua town is just minutes away from Lanikai. In Kailua town you will find great restaurants, up scale stores, grocery stores, movie theater, pharmacies and a wide variety of island culture. The hustle and bustle of Honolulu and the mass of tourists are a half hour drive (depending on traffic!) away and over the mountains from Lanikai. In Lanikai you have the most spectacular beach in Hawaii minutes from your doorstep. Kailua Beach, another great beach in the islands, is also only minutes away from your Lanikai retreat.

  • The house can be divided into two separate units if you are traveling with a couple or someone that desires extra privacy. The apt had it's own living area, kitchenette, bedroom and bath. There is a queen bed in the apartment and a deck off of that bedroom. In the main house there is the master bedroom with one queen bed, the middle bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the third bedroom has bunk beds and a single twin. All bedrooms in the house have ceiling fans and windows that can be opened to let the trade winds flow through the house.

Notes: There is a washer/dryer outside the house. There is lots of toys, a large red wagon for pulling beach equipment and children down to the beach, a porch swing for a baby and a stroller. The owner brings her grand children to Lanikai from the mainland frequently, so the house is well equipped for children. It also has pretty much everything one would need in the way of furnishings, so all you have to do is bring your clothes.

Extra Privacy : The house can be divided to make a three bedroom house and a one bedroom apartment. The apartment has a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, hot plate, coffee pot and dishes of it's own. Off of the bedroom, there are sliding doors that open onto a private deck. The apartment also has it's own livingroom area that includes a TV, desk, couch and dining table and charis. If you are traveling with another couple or grandparents, this makes an ideal situation as the apartment can be closed off from the rest of the house and allow privacy for those using it.
