The Log Cabin: Available as the Log Cabin Only for groups up to eight. Or, the entire property to sleep 14. The rates quoted are for the Log Cabin. The Log Cabin has two bedrooms, 2 lofts and two and a half baths. Included in the Log Cabin: Log Cabin = Sunset Room K Bed (or 2 to three singles) attached private bath with twinkle shower and claw foot bathtub. East BR = Q bed, uses 1/2 bath upstairs, full bath downstairs. Yoga Loft = Queen Futon and a single bed (or King Bed & Futon). Kids Loft = double cotton futon mattress only with lamp, no storage. The original structure was a single-story octagonal log cabin built in the early 70s. Several stages of add-ons have resulted in a unique architectural flowing pattern of what one would call an absolute 'artistic creation!' A wonderful Taos home and setting that evokes surprise and awe.

More About the Log Cabin: Walk in through the main entrance sun/mud room, then enter into the Great Room - the original log cabin. An open floor plan of kitchen/dining area with fireplace, separated by a main stairway supported by a 30-inch cedar tree trunk is the main living/sitting area: beautiful, good forest and one mountain view. A full bath on the first floor off the Great Room. Double glass doors lead you out to a raised-story deck and redwood hot tub (great for stargazing!). Prance up the grand staircase to the second story. The Sunset bedroom has a king-size bed (or two - three singles) and private western deck to view astonishing Taos sunsets. The plaster walls are faux painted a sunset theme to create an stunning effect. The bathroom features an original, one-of-a kind, galvanized tin shower with twinkle lights and a meticulously tiled art floor. YES! The East bedroom bewilders guests with delightful unexpected angles. Queen bed and a half bath across the hall, full bath downstairs.

Expand Rental Space to sleep 14: Additional sleeping space is an open loft overlooking the Great Room with a double-size futon, single or king bed. French doors open to yet another sunroom/solarium. A very romantic Romeo and Juliet balcony is accessed from this upstairs solarium. Finally, the favorite place for some to snuggle into, is an elevated loft called the Kid's Loft for one (or two or three) who climb up a traditional South West latilla ladder and sleep by the stars. *Alternative: For larger groups on some special weeks, the entire property (Log Cabin plus Master Wing) is available. This includes a second master bedroom with attached bath, lovely wood stove, a large loft, yet another bathroom (total 4 1/2) to sleep 14. Please call to discuss. It is generally an additional $200 for the Master Wing per night.

Guest Book: We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful retreat home right after a huge snow storm It was just beautiful there. We had 6 adults and 9 children aged 9-13, and there was plenty of room for all. We loved the scenery, serenity, and lovely charm of this rustic home on the side of the mountain. We truly felt like we were communing with nature in this homey retreat. We were graciously welcomed by our hostess, Dianne, and everything was very nice. If you get the chance, you should try to visit this little piece of heaven! You will not regret it!
