Exceptional Log Home with breath-taking views of Lake and Mountains. Walk down the driveway to the lake with private cove, boat docks and picnic area exclusively for Nantahala home owners. This home boasts a Chalet style glass wall of windows overlooking lake, open great room with enormous 3-tier antler chandelier, top-of-the line leather and rustic lodge furniture, and professionally selected fabrics, bedding and décor. Perfect for a romantic escape, quiet family retreat, or fun get together with friends. Swim and fish off the docks or explore the immediate area. There is no shortage of activities for the adventurous! Enjoy an outdoorsman’s paradise with easy access to pontoon rentals, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala or Ocoee rivers, kayaking, canoing, or hiking and biking on Wayah Bald.
There are 3 bedrooms with a king bed and 2 queens, and a pullout fullsize bed in lower level den. The bear-themed loft has 2 twins perfect for a children’s hideaway. We provide a recommended list of nearby activities, grocers and restaurants complete with phone numbers and directions for your family to enjoy. Nantahala is truly unlike any lake in the southeast. The water quality is unmatched and the lake is large enough to support any of your hobbies including fishing, boating or skiing. This centrally located home provides a much-needed break from the Florida heat, a welcome rest from crowded Atlanta and a convenient point for exploring the Highlands or Asheville, about an hour away. (Near Andrews, NC, Franklin, NC, Murphy, NC, Bryson City, NC, Asheville, NC, Hayesville, NC and Smoky Mountain National Park. Also near Hiawassee, Ga and Lake Chatuge in Georgia. )
Ski: Skiing is about 1 1/2 hours away at Cattaloochee ski resort, it is a good day trip
Golf: Many golf courses nearby, normally takes about 45 minutes to get to them.
Other Activities: White Water River Rafting, Tubing and kayaking
