Sundowner's Grove is located on pristine Free Town Beach, Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas. Grand Bahama is approximately a 25 minute flight from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. M.V.' Discovery Sun' Cruise Line sails daily from Port Everglades, Florida. The rental agent greets you at the airport and escorts you to the beach house, approximately a 30 minute drive. A rental car is strongly suggested. This quaint beach cottage sits on nearly an acre of land, overlooking the dazzling waters of the Atlantic Ocean and daily tidal sand bars. The lovely beach stretches for miles. This property is an island delight amidst the lush garden of tropical plants, palms & herb garden. A nature lover's dream location whether it's beachcombing, creating sandcastles, swimming, swaying on a hammock or stargazing in the refreshing evening air, this is your perfect retreat.

From Free Town (East, Grand Bahama) you can drive further east and discover many other charming settlements and even more powdery sandy beaches, where you can enjoy a quite picnic or go beachcombing. Just 10 minutes from Sundowner's Grove, is 'Bishops' Restaurant & Bar, great for native food and drinks. Whilst in High Rock take pictures of the Lighthouse.

Grand Bahama Cottage Details

A screened in porch overlooks the garden and barbeque terrace with additional open air porches on the ocean front and western side. The beach is literally footsteps away from the doors.

Activities such as swimming with dolphins, horseback riding on the beach, deep sea fising, snorkeling, sunset cruises, bonefishing, kayak tours or a bicycle tour can be arranged wih a phone call. Also available on island are bowling, championship golf courses and tennis. The Casino is about a 20 minute drive from Sundowner's Grove along with Port Lucaya Marketplace and Marina, where you can dine at a variety or restaurants ie: Bahamian, Italian, Chinese, Mediterrean or Fine Dining. Bars are plentiful or sit back and enjoy a cup of Island Java at the newest coffee & pastry shop.

The rental agent is just a phone call away, should you wish to find out information on the Island. After greeting you at the airport, the agent will show you to the grocery store, should you wish to stock up on groceries before heading to the cottage. Local informative magazines and map will be available upon your arrival.
