Wellfleet Cottage Details
Total Renovations Underway!: The entire 'Lost Oak' Cottage is being renovated this winter/spring so it will be ready for our summer tenants! We are building an entirely new kitchen. There will be a large roof deck above the kitchen. We are adding a screened-in porch overlooking Black Fish creek to the south. We are also adding a large dormer to the second floor to expand the master bedroom and open up views to Black Fish Creek. Rentals Start mid June 2008!
Current Progress - Check back for Weekly updates!: January 27, 2008 - The new foundation for the entire cottage has been poured. The framing of the new Kitchen and Roof Deck is scheduled to start this week! February 18, 2008 - Framing is underway! The kitchen and roof deck framing is complete. Dormer starts later this week, and screen porch will be underway by end of next week. February 24, 2008 - Dormer is complete and internal framing is starting. Screen porch starts this week. March 17, 2008 - All windows and doors installed, outside shingling and roofing almost complete. April 24, 2008 - Framing Complete, rough plumbing complete (We added a third bathroom and a fourth bedroom in the basement). Heating system installed, plus we've added a Gas fireplace in the living room. Electrical is underway this week.
