Huddleston House Details
Water Fun: Swimming, boating, fishing, relaxing are the primary activities at Smith Mountain Lake. Walk or bike throughout the Waterways community, or take a short drive to the State Park to enjoy the large sandy beach, canoe rentals, and trails. The Waterways Community pool, tennis courts, basketball court, beach with roped swimming area and boat trailer storage area are available for your use. Passes and keys are in the home for your convenience. There is room for docking one boat. The lot for Cairde Cottage also contains a small stream - fun for kids to watch for frogs, crayfish and other creatures. There are details about marinas, boat rentals, jetski rentals, fishing captains and more at the home. Rent boats by the hour, day or week.
Golf Fun: Many lovely golf courses are nearby. The closest one, at Mariners' Landing, offers 36 holes of manicured fun. Near Bridgewater are additional courses. Mariners' Landing is also home to fine dining at 'The Pointe'
Family Fun: While the main activities at the lake involve water, in the house, there are 2 TV's connected to DISH satellite, a DVD and VCR player, a PS2 and a foosball table. In addition, we have a small 'rotating' library of books, DVD's a foosball table, games for kids and grownups. Need something else to do? Try some of the local wineries, visit Emerson Creek Pottery, take a trip to Peaks of Otter, go horseback riding, visit Jefferson's Poplar Forest, or take in the action at Bridgewater at Hales Ford Bridge.
