- Designed by noted Costian Rician architect,Ronald Zurcher,(designer of the Four Seasons, Papagayo,)the villa is designed for comfort and beauty.All three bedrooms have large marbled tiled full baths with and additional choice of taking showers outdoors in the unique garden walled outdoor shower which are open to the sky.. Each one has been designed for zen peacefulness. A bamboo garden graces the guest room which has waterviews and two double beds.All three interior showers are very easy to step into for those with bad hips or knees-, the elderly or infirmed, its just 2 inch step down into the super large showers. The master suite is separate, unique and romantic.It's 4 steps from the main house to this adjacent bedroom with private full bath, a four poster bed ,draped in a dreamy cotton fabric,.It has a an ocean view, love seat and is blissfully airy. All the villa furnishings are teak and made by a local artist and are beautiful .No wonder it's on Conde Nast/Travel Leisure BEST

Punta Islita House Details
If you like the convenience of a fully stocked kitchen, groceries can be delivered to villa Amapola. Your catch, if you go on one of the great fishing trips, can be prepared for your dining pleasure, in a gourmet variety of ways. Two boats are available to guests of Amapola for deep sea or shore/reef fishing. They are part of the fleet of the Hotel Punta Islita, and can be booked for half day or full day trips, and are billed separately from the lodging. The fishing is outstanding-catching 3 marlins,(blue, stripped and white -a hat trick)plus 2 sailfish is not uncommon in these waters, in a half day trip. There are also 2 tennis courts are surrounded by tropical birds and lime, lemon, orange, and grapefruit trees-it is gorgeous, setting and good courts-1 has lights for an after sunset rally.
The hotel provides ground transportation within the village.
Other Activities: Some of the best reef and deep sea fishing at your doorstep.Access is easy,pick up on the beach.Full or half day,Jungle 'zip'line is awesome.Golf too.
