Bali-inspired design: Home is 8 years old. It was designed and built to provide modern conveniences but give the ambiance of a classic Balinese compound. The second bedroom/bathroom suite is in its own structure, called the 'Rice House' after the traditional structure in a Balinese family compound used for storing harvested rice. After the harvest is sold the space becomes guest quarters for visiting friends and family.
