Hollywood House for Rent: Gorgeous 1918 Film Studio Bungalow - In the Heart of Hollywood, California - Property 176562

LOCATION: We are located at the edge of the Entertainment District, in the heart of Hollywood, California, at one of the gateways to the famous Hollywood Hills. We're 3 blocks from Sunset Boulevard, and 2 blocks from Hollywood Boulevard. From the Bungalow, you can walk to all of Hollywood's major attractions, including the HOLLYWOOD BOWL. We're about a 10 minute walk from the HOLLYWOOD & HIGHLAND Complex, Home of the KODAK THEATER, the ACADEMY AWARDS, and GRAUMAN'S CHINESE THEATER, where you'll find the hand and footprints of your favorite Stars. We're also a quick 5-10 minute walk to the HOLLYWOOD WALK of FAME, where you'll see the SIDEWALKS lined with SHIMMERING STARS of your favorite Entertainers. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS is 5 minutes by car, and 5 minutes by subway. We're a quick walk (approx 8 minutes) to the METRO STATION, where you can visit other parts of the City by LA's METRO LINE. We're about 2 blocks from the 101 Freeway, but you absolutely cannot hear or see the freeway from the home.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Our adorable 1918 Film Studio Bungalow will absolutely delight you and your travel companions! The best description of this property would be a 'doll house for adults'. It has a broad range of appeal - from a romantic couple's getaway - to a family property, that can accommodate 6 guests. A group of 6 usually has it's own unique dymanic - so please let us know who is traveling in your party, and we will give you our opinion on whether of not we're a good fit. 4 or 5 guests are no problem! The home has everything you would possibly need for a relaxing stay ... and more! You'll find comfortable, but glamorous furnishings, movie memoribilia, personal plasma TV in each sleeping area, full kitchen, W/D, BBQ, small outdoor eating area. The home has a Queen bed, Queen sleeper sofa, and a Single/King conversion. If you have small children, we also have a 'pack and play' - and a twin aerobed if you need additional bedding. We have had nothing but happy guests, and we look forward to your stay!

HISTORY: The Hollywood Stars Bungalow is a 90 year old Studio Bungalow, commissioned in 1918 by Cecil B. DeMille to provide location housing for the movie stars of the Silent Film Era. According to local film historians, this home was one of the first Bungalows built in Hollywood to accommodate such stars as Charlie Chaplin, Dorothy Gish, Richard Dix, and Clara Bow as they worked in Hollywood 'on location'. The home has been immaculately restored, and was our personal residence for quite some time. We absolutely loved living here, and can personally tell you that is amazingly quiet, and ridicously cozy. When you're inside the Bungalow, it's hard to believe you in the middle of Hollywood. It sits on a shady corner lot, with lots of trees and shrubs to create a private setting.It has private gated parking for 1 medium sized car. Ample street parking is also available if you should have guests.
