For Divers: The area's incomparable marine life and reef structure that attract more than 75,000 divers from all over the world every year to Cozumel. With over 30 kilometers of reefs, water visibility up to 200 feet and over 200 species of tropical fish, Cozumel is considered by many to be the finest dive destination in the Western Hemisphere and second in the world. Water temperatures range from summer highs in the low 80's to winter highs in the low 70's (F). Like the peninsula, Cozumel has many underground rivers and ponds known as 'Cenotes'. Because of the incredible beauty and clear water of these caverns, tunnels and Cenotes, many consider them to be ideal sites for diving and snorkeling.
