Driving past the “Queen of the Missions” to your private retreat, you have glimpse of the glorious rose garden. A short meander of Oak lined streets and up through the canopy of oak trees of your private lane takes you to your self contained house on an acre property. The first thing you notice is the wonderful aromas of the foothills. Peeking through the patio gate, just past the blooming agapanthas, you see your own private patio for relaxing in the spa and eating outside in the wonderful California weather. Inside you find a comfortable environment with luxurious bedding and attention to décor. A cozy tapestry couch and chair invite you to relax a while. Take in the views from every window. Enjoy a remote controlled gas fireplace as you indulge some media needs with the large screen TV. Everything stows in the large walk-in closet where you find two spa robes to really unwind for your trip to the Spa.

Just a short walk to the Mission and the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. Walk to downtown Santa Barbara through Rocky Nook Park and distinctive Upper East neighborhoods. The beach and Montecito are just an easy drive. Santa Barbara offers a wealth of cultural and athletic activities from kayaking, windsurfing, whale watching, fishing, biking, golf to local theatre, museums and cultural events. There are also beach towels, a cooler and chairs for your trip to the beach! Walk to the Mission, or to the Botanic Garden and really revel in your location! A place from which you can so quickly go take in the hustle and bustle of downtown, but know you have peaceful surroundings to which to return.

The coastline is marvelous with many beaches to explore. The wine country of Santa Ynez is just over the hills providing a completely different terrain so close to explore. The city offers so many cultural events. Check out the Santa Barbara Independent for listings of all the local happenings. The harbour and pier bring the ocean within reach with a museum and charter boats to take to whale watch or fish.
