- The home is split into three levels, with each level having access for the handicapped from the outside. It has a Master bedroom with a King-size bed, private dressing room and bath, with its own deck and two walls of windows to bring the outside in. One of the other bedrooms has a loft bed and private bath, and the Commons hosts a shared cubby-style split bedroom with twin beds, and a pull out sofa in the Common room.

Temple House Details
An option to staying in a Hotel: Consider us when you need to visit Scott and White, King's Daughter's Hospital, the VA, Ft. Hood, Temple College, or any business in the Bell County area.
History of the Farm: Originally given to pioneers Moses and Barzilla Griffin as part of a Mexican Land Grant, circa 1827. Already having a home on the property which was built in 1882, the couple first lived in this house they called the 1882 House. This was the family home until the main house was built and they moved into it with three children in 1961. They not only farmed the land and raised horses and Beefmaster cattle, their children fell into the practice of collecting stray animals and had as many as 13 dogs at one time. Having foresight and vision for the land and its welfare, they never mowed wildflowers, refused to allow hunting, and always fought for land rights and preservation of flora and fauna.
