Vieques Island Villa Details
ACCOMODATIONS: The Inn features a mixture of the old and the new and has a little bit of something for everyone. The property includes the original main house with its rustic terrazzo tile floors, hand painted furnishings and original wall murals (all painted directly on the exterior of the building). Themes range from traditional Caribbean motifs to a large scale majestic angel…making the building its own work of art. We recently added a newer more contemporary building for those seeking more privacy.
RENTAL UNITS:
VIEQUES FAMILY VACATION: Vieques is often thought of as the small little island off the beaten path, ideal for romantic getaways for couples. But if you think of all the things that make it a destination for couples you will begin to appreciate why it is also ideal for a family vacation. The island’s natural wonders and recent history makes it an ideal classroom for adults and children alike. Children can experience first hand live corals while snorkeling, see starfish as they wash ashore and if you time it right can witness the arrival of the pre-historic giant sea turtles that still use Vieques for nesting. If you or the kids are history or military buffs, what better place study recent non wartime activities of the US military than in Vieques. Take a day trip to the bunkers and marvel at the size and scope of these partially hidden treasures used for storage. Visit the islands forte, the last to be built by the Spaniards in the Americas. Get a cultural lesson on what it is to be Puerto Rican
