Manasota Key is an 8 mile long barrier island in Englewood Florida. It boasts beautiful tropical breezes and temperatures year around and both a flip-flop island atmosphere and fine dining. Downtown Englewood is about 5 miles away and is artsy and antique and has 2 fine art festivals a year - one in December and one in March. Charter fishing is available on the island as well as jet ski and kayak rentals. A 2 hour drive to Busch Gardens and 3 hours to Orlando. Close to shopping and there are movie theaters within 1/2 hour. The Sarasota County portion of the island has a historical canopied roadway and mansions that are home to famous people. You will never regret your visit to this quaint and delightful area
