In a unique and very charming old house with many of it's original details intact, we offer two spacious one and two bedroom suites with large living rooms and private baths. Satellite television with HBO, free wireless Internet, telephone. Air conditioning. Both suites have small kitchenette with small refrigerator, coffee maker, One has stove. Situated between thriving, diverse 'Brownstone' neighborhoods of Park Slope and Carroll Garden. Restaurants, pubs, grocery shopping, all services within 5-10 minute walk. Five minute walk to 'F' and 'R' subway trains. About 15-20 minute subway ride to Wall Street area, and 30-40 minutes to Mid-Town. Garden in backyard (open when weather permits).

In the event of last-minute cancellations with less than 15 days notice, deposit will be refunded only contingent on re-booking. Two night minimum, and up to three nights for holiday weekends. We must be notified of check-in (if by air please tell us carrier and flight number in case the flight will be late). Check-out times 11AM. We can help you rent a limousine to meet you at the airport. For weekly rental, the turnover day is Friday.
  • We request that you pay the remainder of your bill by the first morning after your arrival. We accept cash, PayPal, and travelers checks in denominations of $100 or less. We also have an account that can accept money wires.

Brooklyn Apartment Details

Policies: No smoking (we are a smoke-free environment). No pets (sorry, some guests are allergic.) Consumption of food and/or alcohol that you bring in is permitted. One suite has a stove and oven. Both offer coffee maker, microwave, and small refrigerator. Please let us know in advance number and age of children so we can prepare. We can arrange for a car service to meet you at the airport. The guest house is owner-occupied. We are available to resolve any problems or to offer advice on restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions.

Transportation: The guest house is on 8th Street near 3rd Avenue. The immediate neighborhood is quiet, safe, mixed residential and artist lofts . At night there is almost no traffic on our street so it is very quiet. The closest subway stop is at 4th Avenue and 9th Street. It has both the 'R' and 'F' trains. The Smith and 9th Subway stop is also in walking distance. That means very easy access to anywhere in Manhattan. There is usually sufficient parking on this block in the evenings.

Local Attractions: We are within easy walking distance to three major 'restaurant rows.' The closest is Park Slope 5th Avenue. It has many excellent restaurants, pubs (try Union Hall!), gift shops, and boutiques. Up further on 7th Avenue there are more restaurants, gift shops, a Barnes and Noble, the Community Book Store, Tea Rooms and every personal service needed in a residential neighborhood. We are also one stop by subway or a 10-15 minute walk from the Smith and 9th Street 'restaurant row.' We are in walking distance to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and the Brooklyn Museum.
