Woodstock Apartment Summary

This charming and private self-contained studio apartment is attached to our main house, but has a separate entrance via its own large two-level blue-stone terrace, The mountainside setting is amazing, with lawns, orchards, woods, flower beds, old stone walls, wildlife, a stream with waterfalls and distant views from the upper level of our land. There are windows on three sides, and on the fourth there are glass french doors leading to the terrace with outdoor furniture. It is extremely unusual to find a modestly priced apartment on seven really beautiful acres. We are at the end of a road and the land adjoins thousands of acres of wild state land. At the same time we are less than three miles from the center of Woodstock, and within twenty minutes of both Kingston and Saugerties. No smoking. Well behaved dogs are fine, but no cats. Ample outdoor furniture.

Woodstock and Catskills Area: Many recreational activities, such as hiking, bicycling, skiing, cross-country skiing, kayaking, tubing, golf, tennis, horseback riding and fly fishing. There are some great restaurants, antique shops and seasonal local events. Just eight miles from Kingston, which was once the Capital of NY State and has two historic districts. One of these is on the Rondout just as it joins the Hudson, with marinas, boat trips and museums. Kingston also has modern malls with all the major stores and a multiplex cinema. Driving distance to Manhattan: 105 miles

Woodstock Apartment Details

Notes:: The apartment was built in 1980 as an extension to our 200 year old farm house, and its architecture is in perfect harmony with the older building. In addition to the twin beds, there is a sofa and a dining table for two. While the apartment can be completely shut off from the main house, renters are welcome to borrow books, videos as well as additional cooking equipment if needed etc. Guests are also free to enjoy our beautiful property, perhaps have coffee by the stream, play Frisbee on the lawn, maybe have a drink on the hillside with a view to the horizon. There is plenty of outdoor furniture. We have pure mountain water from our own well, so please don't buy water. Well behaved dogs but no cats please. There are two single beds and a couch. It is ideal for a couple, possibly with a small child, and there is a dining table just right for two. The compact kitchen is fully equipped.
