Old Fort Cabin Summary
Only 15 minutes drive from Asheville, less than 5 miles from Black Mountain in Beautiful Western North Carolina! The property is adjacent to the Pisgah National Forest. Very nearby attractions include The gorgeous Blueridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, horseback riding, white water rafting, tours of Biltmore Estates, Mining for gems and gold, fishing, hiking, Linville Falls and Caverns, shopping in the arts and crafts town of Black Mountain, restaurants, libraries, and much, much more! Yet, you would never believe you were that close to civilization. This new cabin is surrounded by trees, and gorgeous views of the mountains. The setting is serene and restful to the max! Please be aware there are a couple of miles of dirt roads (good condition and not difficult), and this property sits on an incline (about 9 degrees). The house is not wheelchair accessible. we have had no problems with any members of our families or friends who have come up to see the house.
