St. Lawrence Seaway outside your door: The St. Lawrence Seaway is a series of canals, locks, and lakes where 6,000 monstrous ships from the Atlantic make their way into the Great Lakes system each year to deliver goods to inland ports of the US and Canada. Though these great ships are elusive to most people visiting in the thousand islands region, you will experience seeing them throughout the day right outside your door.
Activities: Just minutes from I-81, with Alexandria Bay, Clayton, and Wellsley Island 10 minutes away. Activities include: 1000 Islands boat tours, fishing for walleye, musky, pike and perch, hiking, biking, swimming, golf, tennis, theatre, scuba diving, and antiquing. There is the antique boat museum, waterfront restaurants, marinas, 2 historic castles, Boldt and Singer to discover, historic light houses, St. Lawrence Seaway, the St. Lawrence Islands National Park, and many State parks here. This is the place to spend your summer!
