Tourism: The Grand Canyon is approximately a 4 hour drive. Sedona and its beautiful red rocks is located about 2.5 hours north. If you are a gambler there are casinos within an hours drive and of course you can always take a road trip to Las Vegas(5 hours) or hop a shuttle out of Sky Harbor Airport.
Luke AFB: For the retired military, Luke AFB offers a wonderful commissary and a large, well equipped BX. Luke is just a short 20 minute drive away.
