For a change, try our sister June Mountain with terrific skiing and snowboarding just 45 minutes away.

Summer in the Sierras: Mammoth Lakes provide easy access to hiking trails, lakes, fishing, boating, and biking. There are fishing schools and guides to some of the finest stream and lake fishing in the Sierras. Horseback trips, pack trips, and overnight camping trips can be arranged with local guides and pack stations. The Main Lodge at Mammoth has a Mountain Bike Park and Gondola access to the mountain. There is a climbing school, zip line, and access to the back country with scheduled bus and hiking guides. Yosemite National Park is just 38 miles away with the beautiful Tioga Pass and Tuolomne Meadows. Visitors may wish to explore the Bodie Ghost Town, nearby Bishop, and Bristlcone aged trees.

These are the two highest golf courses in California and will challenge even the most accomplished golfer. For the recreational Golfer, there is much to recommend on these courses. Your ball will fly further and you will thrill with the peaks that surround Mammoth and are visible on practically every hole. The greens and fairways are designed to complement every golfing style and ability. Bishop, just 45 minutes away also has a golf course that beckons to those staying many days in Mammoth. This course is a nice change. Bishop is a wonderful typical country town with a nice selection of restaurants, shops and cinemas.
