House Description: The 1st floor has an open floor plan, with many large sliding glass windows and doors to bring in the surrounding views and natural light. The well equipped kitchen has lots of wonderful granite counter space and opens into the bright and airy dining room which seats 6 comfortably. The living room has an entertainment system and is a wonderful place to relax and take in the view. Guest accomodations in3 bedrooms with queen size beds and the living room has a comfortable sofa bed providing additional guest accommodations. There are 2 full bathrooms and the master bath has a large marble shower and a jetted whirlpool tub which is roomy for 2. This is canoe and kayak paradise. Bring your own boat or rent them from a local outfitter who will deliver the boats & gear to the house. With easy access to the water, you can launch boats here at the house at high tide, at the 2 beaches here in town or many other areas nearby. Exploring the coastline by boat is an amazing experience.
Amenities: Amenities include dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven. coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, dishes and utensils, gas barbecue grill, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, telephone, satellite TV, stereo system with CD/DVD player, linens, towels, blankets, pillows, games, large whirlpool tub, 1st floor deck with deck furniture, and 2nd floor balcony w/ chairs and table.
Activities: Acadia National Park, free propane buses run continuously throughout the park and villages of Mount Desert Island, hiking, biking, swimming, beach combing, rock climbing, bird watching, golf, miniature golf, water slide, lumberjack show, scenic plane and glider rides, whale watching, fishing, ride and learn on a fishing boat with 'Diver Ed', kayaking, canoeing, boat rentals and charters, ferry rides to nearby islands and Nova Scotia, sunset schooner cruise, movie theatres, live theatre, classical concerts, live music, museums, zoo, galleries, wineries, shopping, antique shopping, LL Bean Outlet in Ellsworth, libraries, restaurants, pizza and a movie at Reel Pizza in Bar Harbor, delicious popovers and lunch at Jordan Pond House, and... eat delicious local lobster, smoked salmon, muscles, clams, crab, scallops, fish, goat cheese, berries, ice cream, taffy, etc...
